Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Literary techniques: symbolism for sure!. The Pants represented the 4 girls' friendship and love for one another!.

There really werent any pro/antagonists since this was more of a drama and not an action - packed novel!. But if you have to answer this question, maybe you could say that the protagonists were the girls and the antagonist was the fact that they were going to be separated for an entire summer!.!.!.!? Maybe, maybe not!.

Setting: Lena - Greece
Tibby - Home (Washington DC)
Carmen - Her dads house in South Carolina
Bridget - Soccer camp in Baja, California/Mexico

Hmm!.!.!.!. I suppose the conflict could be "man vs!. self!." If you think about it, the book has a lot to do with the girls finding themselves and learning about life away from one another!. I think that should be okay!.!.!.!.

The climax of the novel is different for every girl!.
Lena - deciding whether or not to tell Kostos how she feels about him!.
Carmen - Leaving her fathers house
Tibby - Baileys death and the impact it had on her
Bridget - Her night with Eric and the impact it had on her

I hope that helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com
