Can some one please help me by telling me what : the apple in the hands represent(twilight) the flower dripping with blood i presume(new moon) the breaking ribbon(eclipse) and the two chest pawns(breaking dawn) thanks I would really appreciate itWww@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: okay everyone who is talking about new moon!. YOU ARE WRONG!. it represents nothing, Stephenie Meyer did not, i repeat did NOT, have anything to do with the cover of New Moon!. Her editor choose it!. Twilight; The apple on the cover of Twilight represents "forbidden fruit!." She choose the cover to work with the quote at the start of the book "the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil ect ect" Quote from Stephenie Meyer!.com ; The nice thing about the apple is it has so many symbolic roots!. You've got the apple in Snow White, one bite and you're frozen forever in a state of not-quite-death!.!.!. Then you have Paris and the golden apple in Greek mythology—look how much trouble that started!. Apples are quite the versatile fruit!. In the end, I love the beautiful simplicity of the picture!. To me it says: choice!. New Moon; Choosen by editor, has nothing to do with the book; The flower on the front of the book is a 'ruffled' Tulip!. She is Edward's forbidden fruit, his temptation!. !. that why the hands are pale white new moon-the flower is wilting!. in the book when edward leaves her, it completly destroys bella!. the flower represents bella when he left her, and jacob had to put her together again!.!.the pieces being the falling petal!. eclipse-ribbon represents a path, and the break is kind of where Bella has to make her choice!. She realizes she loves both Edward and Jacob, and that puts a stop to her progress!. She began as the weakest player on the board: the pawn!. She ended as the strongest: the queen!. In the end, it's Bella that brings about the win for the Cullens!.
