The short story " The tell-tale heart" by Edgar Allan Poe is an example of man vs!. self!. The narrator in the story is a crazy person!. His issues with himself includes thinking he is mad and diluted!. He tries to convice himself and others that he is not, causing conflict in his mind!. The quote, "They Heard!-The suspected!-They Knew!-They were making a mockery of my horror!- This i thought, and this I think!." by Edgar Allan Poe illustrates that this is man vs!. self!. It illustrates it because it shows that he is talking to himself!. It also shows that he is thinking others can see right through him!.

It's fine but I think that "The Tell-tale Heart" is more about the tortured soul that Poe was!. He was a very dark man as his works prove!. I think this particular story is more about the guilty conscience of a man who has done something unforgivable and is trying to convince himself he didn't but can't!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
