What does Dracula do with the boxes?

Question: What does Dracula do with the boxes!?

I am reading Dracula, and i am about 300 pages in, but it think i missed something, because i don't get why Dr Seward, Jonathon and the others wanted to know how many boxes were left in Dracula's london house!. If anyone has any idea what i am talking about, can you please tell me what those boxes are for! also, are they empty, or not!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

They're full of dirt!. In Dracula, a vampire must sleep on his native soil!.

So they want to know how many boxes (coffins) he was able to get into England, as this would help them figure out how many safe houses Dracula has in the the country!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
