Question: Harry Potter Question!!!! (Please answer)!?

1) Why do you think it was so difficult for the sorting hat decide in which group Harry belonged in (chapter7) (Harry potter)

2) What was ususual about the school song!? What did Dombledore mean when he said " Ah, music!.!.!. a magic beyond all we do here!."

3)What caused Harry to get a sick feeling while waiting to be sorted!?

Hi, I hope I can help by answering! (I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan!!)

1) The Sorting Hat found it so difficult to decide what House to put Harry, because he had a Slytherin's potential!. As we know, Harry is brave, and can be cunning (he did sneak out a lot)!. He also had part of Lord Voldemort in him from the time when he got his scar and onwards!. However, it is our choices who make who we really are, as taken from Dumbledore's quote!. Harry chose not to be in Slytherin (by saying it in his head when he was getting sorted)!.

2) Dumbledore said "Ah, music!.!.!.a magic beyond all we do compare!." because music is magic in so many ways!. It can make us happy, sad, in love, regretful and so many other things!. Yet, we do not need a wand to use it!. There was nothing unusual about the song, because I'm, sure if the song was another, he would say the same thing!.

3) Harry got a sick feeling while he was waiting to be sorted because it was the unknown!. When we do not know how something is supposed to work, or are new to something, we feel nervous too!. He also didn't want to be put into a House like Slytherin because Voldemort was put into that House, and he killed Harry's parents!. I would be nervous too, not knowing what to expect, and which the result would change my future in am unexpected way!.

1) It was difficult for the sorting hat to place Harry because though he had Gryffindor qualities, he also had the part of Voldemort in his scar, so he supposedly has Slytherin qualities as well!.

2) I think that Dumbledore really meant what he said!. Music IS one of the greatest magics in our world -it's true!. And the sorting hat's song is unusual because it leaves a message, and each year the message is different!. It also gives warnings through its song when needed!.

3) I don't remember that part really clearly, but I think Harry was just having a major case of the nerves!. I mean, he's just getting used to being considered famous, is in a totally new world, has already heard the reputations of some of the houses, and wants to fit in!.

1) Harry had many of the traits exclusive to Slytherins - including being a Parselmouth - he had been 'infected' with Voldemort and so shared part of him!.

2) The school song could be sung to whatever tune the individual fancied!. I'm pretty sure Dumbledore was tone deaf!

3) Harry felt sick due to the presence of Voldemort - albeit unknown to him at that time!. He was also worried that he would be 'found out' ie: wasn't really a wizard, and would be kicked out of Hogwarts!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think I can answer two of those questions:

1) It was hard for the Sorting Hat to decide the House Harry was going to be placed in because he had the bravery of a Gryffindor and the cleverness and potential talent in the dark arts, which is a Slytherin trait

3) Harry did NOT want to be in Slytherin and he was surpised that the Hat could read his thoughts; that's why he had a sick feeling to his stomach!.

1!. It was difficult for the hat to sort harry because it sensed voldemort inside him, and since voldemort is so evil naturally it wanted to put him in slytherin!. (i'm assuming you've read all the books!?)

2!. Dumbledore is weird!. when he said that he was just being dumbledore!.

1- because he could fit in so many, and harry had never heard of the wizarding world before so he was undecided as to where he wanted to go except "not slytherin"

2- becasue music is very powerful!.!.just think of fawkes!.!.!.

1) cause Harry had traits that would let him do well in either house, but then any slytherin traits were overpowered by him wanting to be in griffindor

2) I'm not realy sure!.!.!. i didn't get that part either, even after I checked J!.K!. Rowlings website!.

1)!. Well really Harry could go into which ever group!. he's witty as Ravenclaw, he's a mastermind like a Siltheran, he as hearty as Hofflepuuffer :] I couldn't come up with a good one!.!.!. But he's truly belongs to Griffandor!. They're all brave and good hearted!

2)!. The song was unusual because talked about worms and saw dust in your brains! Dombledore meant that music is magical, not by spells but in its own way!

1) He was begging not to go to Slytherin, which the hat was gonna put him in, so it decided to send him to Gryffindor instead

1) Since Harry was nearly killed by Voldemort as a baby he got some of Voldemorts qualities!. Voldemort was in Slitheren so part of Harry should have been put in Slitheren!. A bigger part of him, i guess, was meant for gryffendor!.
