That said, chapters should be of satisfying lengthy (not too short, not too long), but it's pretty much up to you, as long as each chapter's length is somewhat similar to the previous and next one!. When I write, the average chapter is about 5000 words!. At paperbacks being 250-300 words a page, it translates into 15-20 pages!.Www@QuestionHome@Com There's no set answer for number of words per chapter!. Some authors write a chapter that's only one page!. Usually, you need to start a new chapter when you've started a new POV (point of view), or a new day, or a completely new scene!. If you go with a new chapter for a new day, make certain that you don't end the previous chapter with someone going to sleep!. You want your readers to want to keep reading the next chapter!.
