Question: How is my essay *This time it's included*!?
Teehee! Sorry, I forgot to attach the essay last time I posted this question!. How is it!? _/100!? Thanks a bunch!.!.!.!.!.

In William Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare creates foils!. A foil is a contrast between two characters in a story!. In Romeo and Juliet Friar Lawrence is a foil to many characters, such as the Capulets, and the Nurse of the Capulet house!.
Many traits can be attributed to Friar Lawrence, but his most important characteristics are being educated, kind, wise, forgiving, and being concerned for the public good!. Friar Lawerence is a character who is very sagacious and experienced!. Many times during Romeo and Juliet he tries to offer other characters his knowledge!. Because of his particular traits, he can be contasted to the Capulets and the Nurse!.
Friar Lawrence and the Capulets are foils because, whereas Friar Lawrence is kind and wise, the Capulets are rude!. When Romeo enters Friar Lawrence’s cell after speaking with Juliet, Friar Lawrence will often refer to Romeo as “good son!.” This implies that Friar Lawrence has respect for Romeo!. also, Friar Lawrence supplies Romeo with helpful advice, such as “Wisely and slow!. They stumble that run fast” (2!.4!.101)!. Another quote that Friar Lawrence gives is “Therefore love moderately!. Long love doth so!. / Too swift arrives as tardy as too slow!.” Friar Lawrence is kind because he is giving Romeo advice, but he is also wise because his quotes show life experience!. In contrast, the Capulets are rude because they call the Montagues dogs!. As Sampson, a Capulet servant, says, “A dog of the house of Montague moves me” (1!.1!.8)!. Obviously, referring to the Montagues as “dogs” is not kind, which is why Friar Lawrence and the Capulets are foils!.
Unlike Friar Lawrence, the Nurse is unwise and unkind!. When the Nurse visits Romeo after the balcony scene, she encounters Benvolio and Mercutio with him!. After Mercutio makes some wisecracks and then leaves, the Nurse says, “I pray you, sir, what saucy merchant was this / that was so full of his ropery!?” (2!.4!.47-48)!. This was unwise because, if Romeo was not so kind, he could have taken the Nurse’s comment as an insult to his friend!. It was also unkind because it was an insult, calling Mercutio insolent!. However, Romeo is not affected by the remark!. Another reason why the Nurse is unwise is because she is secretly helping Romeo and Juliet get married!. This is unwise because it is going against her employers’ will!.
Friar Lawrence has many important traits which can be contrasted which other characters in the book!. He is kind, which is the opposite of some rude members of the Capulet family!. Friar Lawrence is wise, which can be compared with the Nurse!. In the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Friar Lawrence is a foil to the Capulets and the Nurse!.
