No no! Dialogue is just a style of writing!. :) I particularily like my stories to have some dialogue, but its OK if a chapter or two isn't!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Dialogue is important since it helps convey the feelings of every character and can help accentuate their actions!. It can also add a bit of reality to your story since people like to talk, and not too many people can go that long without doing it!. You don't, however, want to force the dialogue in!. You've just got to put it in where it feels right!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you're doing a murder story, it's probably best to have more action/description!. Choose dialogue carefully so words sound enigmatic and entice the reader!. Things like:

'This is closure!.' He brought the gun up to the man's head and fired twice!.

Not:
'I'm going to kill you,' the man said!.
'Why!?' said dave!.
'Because (long rambly description follows)'Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you think about it, you already know the answer to this question!. Books in which the plot flows most easily and are the most interesting provide not only narrative, but also dialog between characters!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Dialogue is not nescessary but its good to have atleast some diologue every chapter because it can seem boring if the story is all about description!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
