Well!.!.a galloon is decorative woven trim sometimes in the form of a braid and commonly made of metallic gold or silver thread, lace, or embroidery!. Galloon is used in the trim of military and police uniforms, and as trim on textiles, drapery and upholstered furniture

Worsted means!.!. a smooth compact yarn from long wool fibers used especially for firm napless fabrics, carpeting, or knitting

So basically a caddis is a narrow decorative trim made out of yarn!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Caddis can be a coarse woolen material; worsted yarn!. When I think of caddis, a [worsted] ribbon comes to my mind!.
