Question: What should my book be about!?

I am writing a story line for my book, but I don't know whether is should be about a wizard or a mermaid!. also I need names for the characters!. I need fantasy names and real life names!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Just write what you feel like writing!. It's all about the feeling in your gut when you write each thing!. I'm an aspiring writer myself!. I've always asked for help on what to write but in the end none of it really helps me!. I just follow that feeling in my gut to guide me with my writing!. Same goes for names!. No one can really help you with them because they don't know what you really want!. I've tried to explain what kind of names I want but none of the names that people give me really feel right!. I reccomend to read a lot for inspiration and you can even find really cool names to use!. I also look at behindthename!.com and other name sites for ideas!. Try writing about what you like, because that will make everything so much easier on yourself!. Besides, if you try to write about what people like then it be forever before you publish your manuscript!.
