Question: Allegory please please help !?
ok so i have to do a allegory for my enlgish class!. it has to be at least 2 pages long!. im doing it on getting along with my family!.
with my family we are very very very dysfunctional and dont get along very much!. but at the end of the day we are still a family and love each other very much!.
what would be the best way to start out the paper!?
and what are some things i could talk about in the paper!?
i just need to a few ideas just to get something going and i can figure out the rest on my own!.

You need a setting and some characters that resemble your family!. For instance, if your family members were animals, what animals would they be!? What would they say to each other and how would they treat each other!? That's an allegory of your family -- a Parallel world with similar characters!. Allegories often have a moral point!. Your point may be "The animals get along in their own way" or such!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
You cannot get started because you want to edit the story in your head before you write anything!.
Write what you already have!.
You can add on from there!. Once you have everything down, then go back and edit your story!.
You're never going to get your story down if you keep waiting for a good start!.
