Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
My favorite teen author is Sarah Dessen*!. She has published about eight books so far!. My second favorite author is Lois Duncan*!. She has also written a lot of books!. If you read the Outsiders in Middle School you should read Tex and That Was Then, This is Now*, both are by the same author S!.E Hinton!. Another series is the Daughters of the Moon series!. Other books are
Before I Die
Thirteen Reasons Why
Deadline*
A Time for Dancing* (ssequelis The Farther You Run)
Nick and NNorah'sInfinite Playlist* (way better than the movie)
Megan Meade's Guild to the McGowen Boys
You Don't Know Me
What Happened to Cass McBride*
Missing Abby
24 girls in 7 days
Can't Get There From Here
Catalyst*
Cut
All American Girl
Story of a Girl
Lost It
Keeping You A Secret*
Another series, in this order:
In the Forest of the Night
Demon In my View
Shattered Mirror
Midnight Predator
I hope I am not overwhelming you!. These all range from mysteries to love stories!. The ones with *'s are my favorites!. And I have read all of these so it is firsthand information!.
To get the general summarys go to Barnes & Noble and type in the book name!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Isobelle Carmody is a genius for creating fantasy stories!. You'll never think of the fantasy genre the same way again!. I would recommend "Obernewtyn" or "Darkfall", as these are the 1st books in two great series!.

also Garth Nix is another brilliant fantasy author; try reading "Sabriel"!.

They are on a higher level than teen books, not because they have any particularly adult situation!.!.!. though there is a bit of violence, but because they will make you think!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Books that are on The Clique level, or growing up a little!? Gossip Girl is really popular!. You might like The Dating Game series!. Twilight by Stephenie Meyer and its sequels are also pretty popular!.
A little better are the Georgia Nicholson books by Louise Rennison, starting with Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging!.
The Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld (and his other books) are pretty good!. Meg Cabot or Sarah Dessen novels are all pretty good as well!. Harry Potter kicks butt!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try Bras and Broomsticks by Sara Mylnowski!. There's three books in the series!. I love it!

If you like books like Harry Potter, you will like The Protector of the Small Quartet by Tamora Pierce: the first book is called First Test!.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books are really good too!

Confessions of a Shopaholic looks good, and there's a movie coming out soon also!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

omgsh you should def!. read the jodi picoult series! My favorite book is my sister's keeper its a great story!. They're making it into a movie that's coming out next year! but the book is amazing the ending is very surprising if you're into that kind of stuff!. You should also read the last lecture by randy pausch it talks about life in general its a fantastic book! Www@QuestionHome@Com

These books are of a bit higher level than the clique books but I think you will enjoy them!.!.!.

The A List (series of 10) - Zoey Dean
About the goings on of the teenage children of the rich and famous, contains a wide variety of material - love, hate, jealousy etc!. Loved it!

Girl Meets Boy, Guy Next Door, All American Girl, Avalon High, etc!. - Meg Cabot
I absoloutly love Meg Cabot's books! I would especially recommend the Girl Meets Boy & Guy Next Door as well as the third in that series, I immensly enjoyed them! Some are intended for adults but most for youth and I love them all!

Lioness Quartet, Wild Magic Quartet, Trickster, etc!. - Tamora Pierce
Tamora Pierce's books are mainly set in the land of Tortall in medieval times, they use the same characters just at different stages of their lives and different books/series' focus on different people!. They consist of fighting, magic, love, etc!.

The diaries of kelly ann (2 books) - by Liz Rettig
These recount the goings on of an older teenager as she strugles to make decisions and learn to trust in others!. The second one, Now or Never is about her relationship with a boy and is funny but romantic and suspencful at the same time!.

It's A Mall World After All - Not sure who wrote it though!.!.!.
Comedy of a girl and how she falls in love with her best friend's boyfriend's bestfriend while stalking her friend's boyfriend in an attempt to prove he is a lying cheating scumbag!. A very good read & lovey but funny at the same time!.

I'd Tell You I Love You But I'd Have to Kill You - Ally Carter
About a girl brought up as a spy and enrolled in a leading spy school who falls in love with an ordinary boy and can’t tell him who she actually is!. Funny!. There is a second in the series called To Spy or Not to Spy, it’s just as good!.

Possibly the S!.A!.S!.S!. series - Numerous Authors
About the travels of students and what happens to them on their stay - love etc!. Not brill but an ok read

Inheritance Cycle - Christopher Paloini
Love them, you have to read them, Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr!

Sweet Valley High Books - !?!?!?
I can’t remember who wrote these but they’re a pretty good read even if they are kind of old!. If you’re into series’s these are good as their’s over 100 books

The Last Summer (Of You and Me) - Ann Brashares
A good book but immensly sad, it is probably better for older teens or adults!.

Twilight - Stephenie Meyer
I haven’t actually read any books by Stephenie Meyer but they’re so highly reccommended that I’ve reserved one at the library!. I believe that they’re a love story involving a vampire!.
