So let's say that Joey has an ambition to have a pancake!. But there is a power outage at his house, and the only light is in his confining attic!. But he really wants a pancake!. So, despite his fear, he goes downstairs and he goes to the kitchen to get his pancake!. But his sister, Barbara, has gotten there first, and also wants the pancake!. So they fight over the pancake!.

The external conflict in this little!.!.!. paragraph is that Barbara wants a pancake, too, so that's preventing Joey from getting what he wants, and it's not emotional, and not in his head!. So it's an external conflict!.

The internal conflict is that Joey is scared of the dark, and it's dark down stairs!. It is a fear that he has, so it is in his head!. So it's an internal conflict!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

External conflict is something that happens to the protagonist, anything outside of the characters head that causes conflict!. Internal conflict is when the protagonist is struggling with themselves, conflicting moral issues for exampleWww@QuestionHome@Com
