Question: SO is it odd to re-read a book just 'cause!?
I have never done it before and i've been debating on it for a little bit now!. I would read other stuff but i don't have any money, thanks to the economy!, and i'm busy with college so i figured i would re-read this book so i wouldn't ignore my studies and it would give me something to do when i wanted down time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I re-read quite a few of my books!. I am also in the same boat, being a poor college kid sucks!. Its amazing to because I have found that the first time through I am more concerned with what happens at the end that I overlook some of the details that tie the book together!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I never read a book just one time, even if the book is horrid and I absolutely hate it!. The really awful books get put in a box that eventually finds its way to the attic!. In 6 months or a year or 2 or 3, I'll find a box of books behind the Christmas ornaments, and grab a couple to read!. Sometimes, just living life in that time interval is enough to give me a different perspective and this time around I'll find the book enjoyable!. If I still hate it the second time around, it gets to find a new home!.

And books I love - I read and reread and reread!. You'll be surprised at how much you forget!. And you'll also be surprised that the stories mean something different to you know that you've matured some more!.

Heavens, I still have the copies of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factor" and "Charlotte's Web" and "A Wrinkle in Time" and my Trixie Belden and Donna Parker and Cherry Ames books that my parents bought for me 40 years ago and more - and sometimes I still read them!. I have a grandson of my own now!. He'll be 2 next month!. I can't wait for him to be old enough to enjoy me reading "Charlotte's Web" to him!.

A good book is a good friend!. Definitely keep them around and enjoy them again!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not at all!.
And if you're running out of funds, try the library!. I know that sometimes it is hard to get away, but it's worth once you have plenty of new FREE reading material!. Granted you have to return it, but still:)
Otherwise, as far as re-reading books, that's not odd!. It's just one way of expressing your passion for reading!. For example, I re-read 'Beauty' by Robin Mckinley once every six months!. 'Warprize' by Elizabeth Vaughn and 'Heart's surrender' by Kathleen Morgan at least once every year!. They're my favorites, and I absolutely love having the chance to read them again:)

I re-read books often if they're good!. I think you should read a book more than once because, like a movie, you miss some details the first time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
