Question: Is this a good story, if not what can be fixed!?
The Grand Canyon on My Hand

How long can an insignificant moment be, or how short!? How about a single but yet recurring moment so small it’s almost more of an observation than a moment!. So mere of importance is it, it has been undiscovered of its insignificance until pondered deeply!. Yet it is simply part of my hand and all of your hands!.
This discovery of mine had occurred spontaneously during another one of my mothers pilgrimages to the mall!. She takes these trips very religiously spending hours in just one store coming out with a pair on socks only and the satisfaction that nothing in that store has not been looked at or examined by her eyes!. You also have to understand that we drive a very old Dodge Caravan -the soccer mom type of car- a very uncomfortable vehicle!. It is built and designed for the mom on the go allowing a number of eight people in their all at once, to enable this, comfort is excluded all together!. Just trying to lay your head against the window you face a compartment sticking out pushing uncomfortably against your hip, and the person next to you shoving you harder against this compartment dying for more room for them!. I also have to sit in the back as the oldest of my siblings get the front; in the back you have one window for air that opens up to an inch of cooling air!.
My younger sister is in the back with me pushing me for more room, she is only two years younger than me, and she is the one in the family who has inherited all the short genes!. She is fairly skinny and just like me we have no looks that associate with being Mexican, even though we are!. Then there is my brother who got all the genes for being tall, the juxtaposition of my brother’s tall Mexican looking muscular build to my shorter light skinned body set the perfect position for me to be the younger brother!.
It was a sunny Sunday day-as the weather forecaster said- and we were all going to make your weekly pilgrimage to the Mall, and on the way there began my momentous but insignificant finding, where I noticed this mesmerizing thing on my hand!. It was hot and I sat in the back seat left window, and the sun high in the east glared through my window illuminating the left half of my body, leaving the other half in complete darkness!. I also had my hand resting on the ledge of the window as the sun’s rays caressed my hand with its soothing warmth!. I usually love the heat it’s of no surprise my arm is layered with freckles from the many times the sun touched my unsupervised skin!. It was then I peered intently at my hand at the sight of what has become one of my guilty pleasures!.
You know those spots on our finger such as our knuckle that allow our fingers to bend, or as scientists call phalanges, they almost look like small incisions or crevices that allow bending of the fingers!. Well what I noticed was the way the sun hit those certain spots giving them a glow, a look of mysteriousness of what is in this crevice!. This moment was very insignificant but momentous to me, as it was so mesmerizing to me, the way it glowed!. For most people it would look like just some boring wrinkle, but for me it looked like the Grand Canyon and all its crevices!. For most who do not understand what I am talking about its tough to explain what it looked like, the sun shined at a certain angle creating a mysterious shadow in the crevice, a type of darkness that causes an unsuspecting teenager to enter the dark room when told not to!. I was so entranced by this I peered deeper into this wonder discover vast connections of crevices only justifying my Grand Canyon theory, I was left only to wonder if we our-self live in a crevice of someone’s hand!.
In a flash and left turn of the vehicle my trance was broken, now moving west the sun’s rays are now behind me, all that is left are these wrinkles like fingers!. In search of this wonderment on my hand I direct my hand behind me facing the sun but no luck, I tilt my hand to the left, the right, and finally it is there again!. I do not know what would posses me to do such a thing, but this wonderment that is on my hand enthralls me to no end!. I do not bore of this but learn as now I involve my right hand in the perfect position to find it again, and gaze at what wonderment this is!.
This joy of mine never leaves me, we stop as my mom makes her visit to the stores and I linger near the window encompassing my-self in my own little joy!. I can only ponder if anyone else has noticed this unearthed wonder, or if it is something to insignificant for the world!.

It's certainly got potential although it seems too formal for an adolescent if you get my drift!. Too many big words!.
The puntuation is sometimes a little off as well, although it was pretty good on the whole :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Whooooooa! Very nice! I like how it uses many adjectives and describing things!. It's not one of those stories where your like, huh, what's that mean!. It is very nice! GREAT!Www@QuestionHome@Com

One thing: Don't dress it up too much!. Other than that, punctuation is the only other thing that got to me!. Everything else is pretty cool!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
