Place your book in a plastic bag with coffee grounds that have NOT been used to make coffee!. They will absorb the smell and you don't risk getting the book wet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've had a similar problem in the past!. I hung the book by its 2 hard cover ends on the clothesline in the sun for a few hours!. The UV can kill any mold or fungi embedded in the paper!. I also sprayed a bit of Lysol spray from several inches away not to wet the pages but to still be able to freshen things up!. Proud to say it worked!. A headache to do but my inventiveness paid off!. Let me know what you do!.
