Question: Would anyone read this story i'm writing!?
Ok, I'm writing this novel!. A basic summary of it is that a 13 year old girl, Mara, goes to camp with one of her best friends, Casey!. Mara meets 2 other girls there, Vanessa and Kristine, and Casey and Mara like Vanessa's brother, Jake, even though Mara refuses to admit it!.
After Jake saves Mara from drowning, they fall in love!. Casey tries to seek revenge on Mara for stealing her crush but it backfires on her and they later become friends again!. After camp ends, Mara and Jake keep in touch and continue to fall in love more and more!. Jake promises to love Mara forever, no matter what happens!. then a few weeks later, Jake dies in a car crash leaving Mara desperate and alone!. She tries to drown herself but is saved by a lifeguard and dreams of Jake, being safe and happy in heaven!. She tries to move on with her life despite losing her soul mate at such a young age!.

Ok, would any of you read it!? I am fourteen years old, so would that affect your judgement of it!? I'm just curious if anyone thinks it's a good idea!.
Thanks and I appreciate your answers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I'm kind of torn!. I can see a lot of conflict revolving his death but as far as the whole "you stole my crush thing," I'd probably refuse!. It's too cliche!. You see it on TV, movies, and read it in other books!. I really don't see the point in that!. Meeting your soul mate at thirteen is unlikely!. I mean, it's possible, but how many people end up marrying their boyfriends from middle school!? I'd believe it if she was a bit older, but thirteen is young in my opinion!.

I'm fourteen too and an aspiring writer, so I'd probably be first in line to pick up your book!. I'm a big supporter of teen writers!.

From what you told us, I think you can pull out or edit some things!.

Keep writing!

I wouldn't!. The whole "love, backstab, loss, and re-love" thing is way too overdone!.

And no, the fact that you're a 14 year old doesn't affect anything!.

If you're still curious about what I mean, look up any popular "teen" book or any Disney movie, and you'll see how the underlying mechanics for the plot are all the same as your story!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I might would read it but now that I know the story and especially the ending I most likely won't!.
It's kinda like those movie trailers which have the whole story in them and at the end I don't watch it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd read it!. I'd BE YOUR BIGGEST FAN!. I love hopelessness in books!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would never read it!.
The fact that you're fourteen doesn't bother me!.
But other people might read it!.
