For instance:
-Heidi by Johanna Spryi
-Little Women, Little Men & Jo's Boys by Louisa May Alcott
-any other children's story by Louisa May Alcott
-any children's story by Lucy Maud Montgomery
-The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett and any other of hers
-Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm by Kate Douglas Wiggin
-Pollyanna by Eleanor H!. Porter (and others of hers)
-Black Beauty by Anna Sewell
-all sorts of fairy tales like Hans Christian Andersen's stories
-all the tales of Beatrix Potter (in fact, just last year I read all of them)
-Nancy Drew stories

The "Dear America" series!. I am a history nut and these books are written in the form of diaries about young women that lived during different time periods!. My favourite one is the diary of Haddie (Oregon Trail)!. They are fun and easy reads!.

also, I enjoyed reading "Gulliver's Travels" by Jonathan Swift!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I loved all of Lucy Maud Montgomery's books about Anne of Green Gables when I read them myself, again when my daughter read them, and yet again when my granddaughter read them!. I also really love several of Robert Munsch's books!.!.!. I'll Love You For Always, Mortimer, Murmel Murmel Murmel !.!.!. and every girl, of any age, needs to read his Paper Bag Princess!.

And how could one possibly give up Roald Dahl's wonderful stories!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

the bobbsey twins!.!. they're really for lil kids but i collect them because the copies i have are from the 1920s so that in itself makes them kind of enjoyable to read!.

i also liked reading alice and wonderland!. i have a copy of it from 1909!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
