Question: Who are the round/dynamic and flat/static characters in Edgar Allan Poe's "The Cask of Amontillado"!?
i don't understand if Montresor is round, flat, dynamic, static, etc!. he seems like any to me!! and what about Fortunado!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

To be dynamic or round means to be able to change, to adapt, to grow and to have more than one degree of depth!. It seems to me that both Montressor and Fortunato are pretty flat and static!. Fortunato certainly does not grow!. The fact that he is easily tricked by Montressor indicates that he is a!. predictable and b!. unable to adapt!. Besides, he doesn't have much more time to grow!. Montressor lives much longer but he too is flat!. His character does not change or develop!. He never even seems to realize the futility of what he has done!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

look up your definitions, but im pretty sure that since round and dynamic characters are ever changing, and the other two stay the same, that he is a flat character, and Fortunado is a round one, since he has just one big change!. we did this story in our english class a few weeks ago!. but you should look up the definitions in your history books, just to make sure!.
