The one thing we can not figure out is how Bella finds out that Edward can read minds!. It just sort of 'pops up' in Port Angels!. I know she has the talk with Jacob but it's not mentioned, right!? And all she says in Port Angles is 'hypothetically!.' Help anyone!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Right, Jacob doesn't even know that Edward reads minds, so he wouldn't be able to tell Bella that!. She guesses!. It really is just a guess!. After he rescues her from the guys following her in Port Angeles, when they're in the car pulling up to the restaurant, she starts to ask him how he knew how to find her!. He doesn't let her finish the question at that point, but she brings it up again when they're in the restaurant!. Remember, she's already been trying to come up with theories about how Edward can do the things he does!. Before Jacob told her he was a vampire, she was guessing he had superhero powers!. She just throws the mindreading thing out there as another guess!. When she's talking hypothetically, she thinks he's just playing along with her!. She still doesn't know!. After he tells her what a magnet for trouble she is, she keeps pushing it!. She says, "Yet, here I sit !.!.!. because of you!." And then, "Because somehow you knew how to find me today !.!.!.!?" and he starts deciding again whether to tell her the truth!. And then he says, "You eat, I'll talk!." And then he tells her!. He doesn't say straight out, "Yes, I can read minds!." He says, Usually I can find someone very easily, once I've heard their mind before!." And then he just starts telling her about reading Jessica's mind and so on!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I think she kind of guesses what he can do seeing as he tends to answer Jessica's thoughts in the cafeteria (like looking up at them whenever Jessica thinks his name)!. When she questions him in Port Angeles I think she's just guessing and doesn't expect him to admit to it!. I also think she might have gotten the idea from one of Jacob's stories that night in La PushWww@QuestionHome@Com I'm pretty sure that Edward told her, however, he tells her that he can't read her (Bella's mind), which makes him go crazy at times, since that it something that he can't do with her, but he can do with others!. I think that it is in Twilight, the first book, where she founds out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Bella knew that Alice can read minds, Alice and Edward are both vampire so it's understood that vampires can read minds clearly if it's with another vampire it's staded in New moon chapter 19-20Www@QuestionHome@Com I thought Edward told her he could!?
