Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Jane Austen: Her subtlety and comical satire of her age's society was meaningful and still holds validity today!. Her insight on courtship is fascinating and she really knows how to create a "real" environment with "real" people, fashioning stories that are not only entertaining and insightful, but also realistic!.

William Shakespeare: well, obviously him! His massive works with poetry and plays are enough to inspire mountainous statues! Beautiful and inspiring, Shakespeare has influenced thousands with his work; many current writers and such are influenced by him!

Oscar Wilde: He is a satirical genius as well, and funny, too!. His works are pieces of art that should humble any reader, realizing that his characters tend to portray features we see all to real in ourselves!. Any good writer should be able to do this, but he does it better than most! did, hes dead im sure!.

Mark Twain: This guy was again a satirical genius!. He took problems with his society and wrote about them in ways that seemed to bring out the entirety of what he thought the problem was, and then discredit it by showing how silly it is!. Logical and witty, his works tend to bring insight to the reader through the story, letting you in on his little secrets!

Lucy Maude Montgomery- Her imaginative creative character of Anne should get her own face carved into a monument!. Her books of love, children and growing up in characters you wish were real catch your attention and keep with you even when you put the books down and the plot is one of a creative twist!.

Jane Austin- she was a woman ahead of her time!. And faced heartbreak, people shunning her and yet she wrote these poetic books using her family, surroundings and her own love story tied in!. Her characters are imediatly well known and show what it would be like to grow up back then!. Her compelling love stories hold your heart till you are the characters!.

J!.K!. Rowlings- she brought back reading to the masses!. Her captivating story of a young wizard and friendship with a tie of magic; no one can stand not reading!. Harry's story follows one of good and bad, friendship and family, and surviving!. It's a book so unlike any other!.

Gregory Maguire - whose imaginative book of the two witchs of Oz challenging the idea of good and bad!. It holds the moral of don't judge a person before you know them!. Hecapturesthe truth of racism and hard lifes people could actually face while explaining the truth and actual tale of The Wizard of Oz! and for that I believe he deserves to get his face on a monument!.

also: Harper Lee- for one of my personal favorites!.To Kill a mocking bird deals with growing up in a small town in the south in the thirties while racism is going on around you!. It hold stories, accidents, and inncidents out of young Scouts and Jem's hands!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
