Question: Should i show my book to my family!?
Okay, im 13 and im writing a book and i really think its alright, but im scared/nervous/too shy to show anyone!. even my family!. My grandfather is a publisher, not a very famous one, just a small, home business and hes coming for a holiday these holidays!.
I havent wrote all my book, and my family will be sure to tell him im writing a book, then he'll want to see it, and i dont really want to!.
Anyway, do you think i should just bag the nerves and hand it over!? Or wait!? Or what!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Don't be scared to show your book to your family!. I'm sure that they would be very proud of you if they knew about that!.
If you don't want somebody from your family to tell anything to your granddad just let them know!. Maybe they will help you with dealing with your fear and will give you some support!.
Just remember that this is your book!. It was your idea and you wrote it how you wanted!. I think it's really great achievement and nobody can take it away from you!.

ok i have the same problem too, minus the publisher grandfather!. i am writing a book and it is not quite finished and i didnt want anyone to read it until i knew it was perfect!. but half the time i almost burst out and tell my family and my best friend!. i want them to read it, but i am scared of what they will think!. i showed parts of it to my best friend and she loved it, and gives me the support i need to finish it!
you should just go and tell!. they will be supportive, and it makes all the difference to know that the people close to you are proud of what you are doing!. show it to them!
and if they do not like it, who cares, there will be critics out there but there will also be people who love it!.
try posting part of it on yahoo answers and see the feedback that you get, then you will see just how many poeple love it!!
