Question: Breaking Dawn Banned From Scholastic Book Fair!?
Breaking Dawn, the final book in the Twilight series, has officially been banned!. The novel was susposed to be at the elementary school, middle school, and high school book fairs, however Scholastic has banned it from the book fairs, even from high schools, because of it's mature nature, however it still sells The Host!. This is esspecially ironic because it is National-Un-Censoreship Month, with book stores selling banned books!. Has anyone else heard about this!? What do you think about all this!? If you are wondering, Breaking Dawn contained language, sex, violence, and went into painstaking detail about how the baby had to "come out" from vampires biting open the mothers stomach!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Although I think banning book is stupid, Breaking Dawn is an exception!. That book is effed up!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Definitely not the best book in the series but I liked it!. That's absurd that they banned it from high school!. I'm 13 and really didn't have a problem with it - though I understand that it certainly had mature content!. I don't however think that it contained much violence or language - certainly not enough to ban it, and I really don't think the birth scene was that bad either!. I agree with not having it in elementary and middle schools, but high schoolers are certainly mature enough to read it - I guarantee they read worse books than Breaking Dawn!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

LOL wow this news made me SUPER happy!.

It's great that they're banning this book from at least elementary school and middle schools!. The content in it is absolutely ridiculous for some of her younger readers!.!.!.and I'm 17!.

Honestly I wouldn't want my 6th grader reading that CRAP!. Not because it's graphic or anything, but because it's just plain terrible, they shouldn't waste their time!. It also is chock full of HORRIBLE messages about abuse, pregnancy, education, and misogyny!.

That book is just!.!.!.!.so bad!.!.!.!.!.

No one should ever read it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Americans should never ban books!. You choose to read it or not!. Good parents will monitor their children's reading material!. Any infringement upon our basic rights is bad for the country!. I wouldn't read it, but it's not my place to say you who can!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, because it deserved!. I don't approve of the idea of a teenager having sex with a century old vampire and giving birth to a demon baby!. Fal-MWww@QuestionHome@Com

I would have been horrified if "Breaking Dawn" was being sold at the Scholastic book fair!. That book is not appropriate for younger kids!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well i didn't know this
but i mean are you really suprised!?!?!?!?
It is pretty racy

I am still a fan, though!.
and the ending was perfect!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

are you kidding!! I LOVE THOSE BOOK'S! the are the best!! i don't understand how that can make a book "horrible" its called drama/suspense/love/maturity!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

WHAT!?!!?!
OMG! That's outrageous!.
It did not contain SEX!!!!! The author reads these books to her freakin' kids, the oldest of which is 10!!!!!
It was IMPLIED that they had sex, but it did not describe anything, or even say 'Edward and I had sex' NOOO!
They go swimming, and then she wakes up the next morning!. SCANDALOUS, ISN'T IT!?!!?!!!?!!?!!!?
It probably only contains the word 'sex' 3 times in all of it's 754 pages!!!!! And that's when someone is making jokes!!!
There was NO violence, AT ALL!
There was no big war or ANYTHING!
The first and third books had more violence!.
And there is NO language, except maybe 'damn', and 'sh!t'!. The author is MORMON!! She is not gonna put 'f***' and 'w****' in her books!. They are TASTEFUL!!!

There was no painstaking detail about the baby coming out!.
Edward rips open her tummy (which was solidified with vampire skin), and takes the baby out!. Yes, a few times there is the mention of blood, and stuff, but no painstaking detail!!!

It was not a horrible book! The plot was a bit stale, yes, and it had some odd science fiction parts to it, but it was not 'horrible'!!!
