This is quite a brief question but i'm just wondering, would you consider this to be viable for a sci-fi story and for my course work!?
Okay for starters, the teacher asked us for a story about an average character living his normal life, when something un-expected happens (ie!. alien invasion)
Now, what i was plannig to do was a bit different :S
How about this!?
An assassin, during the year 1191 AD (Since i can't think of a better date and since i like assassins creed) who is living his "normal" life was assigned to get a certain treasure!. This treasure was called "The eye of time"!. Frankly, it activates on the spot and he is sent to the future!.
When he arrives there, all there is to see is technology at every corner!.
Later on in the story when he begins to become "accustomed (spelt wrong i think)" to the future, the war of the machines begin!.
Now here's where it gets interesting!.
An assassin knows how to silently kill of a person, but what about machines!?
and so on and so forth!.
The story ends after an evil madman/scientist has been assassinated (only one of the few actual assassinations that don't involve trying to destroy a machine)!.
From then on, i plan on leaving it on a cliff hanger when he has "The Eye of Time" in his hands!. Does he go back to the past or remain here, in the future!?
So whats do you guys think!? Is it a viable sci-fi story!? Www@QuestionHome@Com
