Depends on the length!. If it's only 1-2 pages or something then definitely not everything that happens!. It's about picking out the parts you feel are most relevant and important!.
If it's longer you'll have to go into more depth and I would imagine you'd have to do more than just describe what happened!. For a really good book report I'd say you should analyse rather than just describe!. Talk about why you think the author made certain things happen, how characters are presented and what techniques the author used to portray the story (like similes, metaphors, etc)!.
I am sure every school/teacher/grade will have slightly different criteria though so I would really advise you ask your teacher before you do anything!. You might end up going off track if you don't!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If every chapter in your book has an important detail, then mention it, plus, your teacher would probably like more detailed book reports!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
