How to memory, symbol, and pattern affect the reading of literature!? How does the recognition of patterns make it easier to read complicated literature!? Discuss a time when your appreciation of a literary work was enhanced by understanding symbol or pattern!.

Think of movies, how does recognizing familiar plots help you understand the story of the movie!. If you know it's supposed to be an action film, or a chick flick, or romantic comedy you know what to expect and how the characters will behave!. Now apply this idea to literature, if you are reading Shakespeare and can recognize Romeo and Juliet is a tragic romance it helps the reader understand the symbolism and metaphors, who the characters are and how the story will unfold!.
