Question: Naming Mistake! Help! Name for Book Character!?
Help! I'm writing a book right now, it's kind of an adventure!. A mix between Twilight and Harry Potter!. If that helps you visualize!. I was going to name my main, main character Rose!. But I found out that Richelle Mead has a character in her Vampire Academy book called Rose, too!. Do you think people will think I copied!? Or should I just rename!. I would try to rename but the mix of Rose and her last name is just so perfect!. Help!. Her full name is Rose Elizabeth Faust!. It's not a vampire story at all!. It's more of a magic fantasy type thing!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

If it feels right, then it's right!
In some stories the character names are extremely important to the story, and in others they are mostly just a convenient way of keeping track of different characters!.
If you have slight misgivings about being accused of being a "me too" copycat, then put in some justification for naming her Rose!.
A prologue, or a few paragraphs, maybe a hint of an ancient legend should do it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
It should be okay, but you can just switch Rose and Elizabeth!. Elizabeth Rose Faust, or Lizzie Rose Faust, or Elizabeth Lizzie Faust!. You get to choose!. Look at Eragon, the names are practically all copied from Lord of the Rings, and the plot is like Star Wars, but it's still awesome and famous!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Well, either you can name it again or stick with it!. I really like that name to!. I made sum users for sum accounts xxrosexx!. Maybe you can you sumthing with the word rose to create a new name!. Like!.!.!.!.idk!.!.!.!.!.Elizabeth Rose Faust cause it still sounds very good!.!.!. I wouldnt worry about it if its not a vampire story!. If it were then people would compare your character with hers, but I would change her name altogether just because Rose is overused too many times!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
If it is not a vampire story, then maybe not!. But, maybe you should change it to something like Rosanna or maybe Elizabeth Rose, they both go with the last name Faust!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
