Question: A straight guy writing a gay teenage angst novel, HELP!!?

Ok, I've got an idea for a book similar to the teenage angst of twilight, however its going to be a young adult book based around gay teenage angst e!.g!. the main character and his best friend (mysterious exchange student who turns out to be a 'souless' hunter but enough about that)!. Anyhow, I know this is going to be difficult because I am straight and yes I am doing this 40% for the controversy, so if anyone can give me any pointers, plotlines etc, I'm all ears!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Honestly I think it's a very silly idea to write something JUST for controversy!. You need to be able to write realistically and put your heart into it, and if your motives are wrong its going to be a lame book no matter what its about!.

Gay teenage angst has been done before, so unless you have something new to offer, don't write it!. Write what you know - if it's specific to you it's more likely not to have been done already!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
