Question: Faeries in a mountainous region!?
I'm in the process of trying to write a fictional story that takes place in Colorado, but I'm having a hard time populating my fictional town!.

It's a story that deals with faeries, and my location is in a very wooded area some miles away from a real life town I used to live in!. That being said, I am pretty familiar with the landscape, etc!. However, I own many, many books on faeries and Celtic legends, but I'm having a hard time deciding on what types of faeries to put into my mountainous region!.

So far I have: Knockers; gnomes; sylphs; undines; kitsunes (or just fox-men); mountain trolls; phookas; pixies; grindylows; will-o-the-wisps!. Colorado does have some very large crows, so there may even be crow-men too!.

What other types of faeries could there be!? What would you put in your mountain town!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Don't forget the nymphs!. You could have some naiaids (water nymphs) or Auloniads who are mountain nymphs, if I'm correct!. Wiki has a lot of information and can point you in the right direction!.

And one of my personal favorites are the nixes, so if there is any body of water in your scene, add them!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like gnomes, perhaps, they're so cute!. Leprauchans also because they do chores!. Besides, add some mythical creatures that you can control their doings in your book!.
I hope I helped you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
