More recently Wagner based his opera on Gottfried von Strassbourg's poem, but Thomas Berger's novel goes back to Malory again!.Www@QuestionHome@Com The version I like best is in The Arthur Trilogy by Bernard Cornwall, Winter King, Enemy of God and Excalibar!.
