i've just finished reading it, thought it was really good!! now what!?

can you recomend some other books on the basis that i liked this one!.

I like The Beach too, and I recommend it sometimes but I just realized, reading your question, that it's a hard book to recommend off of!. I'll give it a shot though, since I can't possibly do worse than to offer Meyers and Rowling!

Try The Magus by John Fowles, it's a bit of a mindbender!. I haven't read The Collector, but it's highly recommended by a friend!. I intend to pick it up!.

Try Donna Tartt's Secret History too!. It's pretty well done!.

For a really great author, whom I don't seem to be able to stop suggesting to people these days, read Bret Easton Ellis!. Start with the first, which is Less Than Zero!. Then just keep going!. He's amazing!.

You might like Bright Lights, Big City by Jay McInerney too!. I did!. but I read it a long time ago!.

This one is kind of different but it's a killer book and you should check it out: Clockers by Richard Price!. It'll mess with your head!.
