Question: Need help with story ideas, like twilight!?!?!?
Ok, so I want to compete in the novel writing challenge NaNoWriMo in november (50,000 words in a month) and really want to base my story on the idea of vampires, not so much horror but maybe a bit of romance and action!. I really like the idea but don't want it to be too similar to twilight!. I was thinking maybe a teenage girl finds out she is part vampire!? I really dont have many ideas at the moment but as soon as I get a little idea, I'm good at expanding it into a full plot so all I need is a few small ides really!. Any advice!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Father was a vampire hunter and was ambushed by several vampires which he defeated only to escape with a few very minor scratches!. Unknown to him he was infected!. Not fully transformed he makes love to the mother who conceives a daughter (part vampire)!. father disappears never to be seen again (most likely he succumbed to his infections and either killed himself or transformed)!.
Daughter grows up normal thinking some loser was her real dad, experiences cravings once a month, but treated as some rare illness, finds out the truth, has major breakdown, attacks a close friend and blah blah blah!.

God!!!! Not ANOTHER vampire book!. Why don't you try some other creature like ghosts or zombies!. How about when the girl discovers she is part nymph or some other sprite!?
