Question: Plot research please help!?
My novel revolves around a small Alaskan town!.!.!. MC is an engineer, sent to help with construction of a power station ( why would they put a power station there!.!.!. can;t quite work that out, and unless I do it won't make sense to the reader ) - however after a day's work the power station is vandalised --- the story goes on to say that people who work on the station end up dead ( paranormal !?!? people think they see ghosts etc!.!. )
Twist: MC and other good characters survive!. Turns out it's a sacred ground for the locals who hide in the forrest ( Indians in Alaska -- not sure!?)

Does that sound like a potential plot !?Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's a bit vague and the good characters surviving is too standard to be called a twist!. If you develop it further, you need to research native Alaskans!. Don't call them Eskimos and Inuit is a broad term!. Use a specific tribe and study their myths and folklore to find your supernatural element!.

Edit: The Athapaskans sound like the best bet for a forest tribe as opposed to a coastal people!. http://www!.alaskatrekker!.com/natives!.htm lists several options!. You could also try to work in oil exploration in the ANWR as the conflict!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is nothing new in movies!. Spirits force closure of a modern construction project because it is on sacred ground (burial ground!?)!. Make the construction project an indian(native american) casino instead and the spirits will approve of it!. Call the casino 'eight feathers' and the character MC wins a large jackpot only to lose it all to a hooker who robs him in his hotel room!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
