I have really enjoyed a child called it, and the lost boy by Dave pelzer, expect from the next one in this series : A man named dave, can anyone recommend any book like this!. Or if anyone has any other books that were a fabulous read then please let me know! thankyou!.
I also read The Kid - By Kevin Lewis, but felt that the story was vague and lacked detail, although detail in this type of book can be depressing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: There's any number of these types of book: just look on Amazon, "the customers who bought this item also bought!.!.!." Toery Hayden writes from a slightly different perspective: she is a teacher who deals specifically with abused children with severe emotional/behavoiral problems!. She's a very good writer!. Although whoever writes her blurbs is overly sugary and sentimental, she is actually down to earth and deals with sentiment without becoming over soppy!. (One Child, sequel Tiger Child, Ghost Girl, Murphey's Boy, etc)!. She's very good!. Or Running With Scissors (Augusten Burroughs) with is frankly bizarre, unusual and well written - humour as well a pathos!. Which can be unusual!.
