The "Rob Effect" is Meyer's way of saying, "I'm way to arrogant and floating in my own world to care that Breaking Dawn is a horrible, nonsensical book!. Learn to like it!"
What she says is basically this:
When Robert Pattinson was first cast as Edward Cullen, many people were angry and thought he would do a horrible job!. But once time progressed, and they saw movie stills, etc!., Rob grew on them, and they got excited to see him on the big screen!. So Meyer is telling us to get over her crappy book and learn to like it!. Pure arrogance and a refusal to take responsibility for her awful book, in my opinion!.

When Robert Pattinson was casted for Edward many fans, at first, were not happy with the choice!.
After things such as the trailer and pictures came out!.!.!.everyone soon loved him!. (it just took some time)
This is what Stephenie is saying could happen to some of the fans who aren't happy with how Breaking dawn turned out!.
