The strong underlying force of this novel is the relationship between Amir and Hassan!. Discuss their friendship!. Why is Amir afraid to be Hassan's true friend!? Amir is more timid than Hassan!.!.!.I think he admires Hassans bravery and outspoken behavoiur!. A characteristic he can't seem to muster up!.
This may cause a subtle resentment, but Amir truely loves Hassan!.
When Amir wrote the story of the man who killed his wife , for the tears which turned to gold!.!.
Hassans , simple reply , of why didn't he just smell an onion!.!.
Another knotch in the belt ,, Amir see's this simple servant boy as not only a brave hero!. But,,more clever than him!.!.
I believe he constantly tests him,,not for sick amusement , but because he is always warmed by his heroes accomplishments!.!.
When Hassan is raped ,, Amir is devistated !.!.
Not just for Hassans attack,,but because he was unable to muster up the courage to defend his hero in time of need!.!.!.
He truely felt a coward,, and was embarrased by it!.!.
The stubborness of youth and his discrace would not allow him to confront Hassan!.!.
His discrace was eating away at him and caused him to remove Hassan,,

Hassan isn't Pashtun!. He's an ethnic Hazara- a group that has been discriminated against for years!. Amir is afraid of what other people will think of him!. Plus, even though Hassan can't read, he's smarter than Amir!. That makes him really mad!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
