Question: Interesting horror authors!?

I want a list of your favorite horror authors!. Except for Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and Richard Laymon (Since I already have books by them!.)

I like John Connolly - who's novels revolve around detective Charlie Parker!. The best are, I think, "Every Dead Thing" (the first) and "The Killing Kind" (The third), but the others were all good!. also, Nocturnes (short stories, not in series) is very good and one of them ("the new daughter") is set to be made into the basis for a film shortly!. Mind you, the Charlie Parker ones got a bit wierd/religious mostly from the Dark Angel onewards, but it's not so noticable in the first three/four!.

Edgar Allen Poe is a genius, read it!
Check out The Tell-Tale Heart by him as well!.
