I am planning on writing a book, called "Freak" for teenagers/pre teens!.
So i was wondering if some of you guys would give me your opinion!?

All i have right now is the Synopis done!.
So here it goes:

FREAK
Im the girl you make fun of in the hallways!.
Im the girl who runs home to just cry into her pillow!.
Im the girl who bakes cookies on saturday nights!.
Im the girl, who waits by the phone; just to here from you!.
Im that girl!.
Freak!.

The book is about a struggled teen who isnt exactly "rich", her father struggled from alcohol abuse when she was a young child!. Causing her to go in this deep funk/depression!. She became sort of different, shy and quiet, wore kind of emo/scenish clothes (not stereotyping) And none of the kids really let her in!. She kind of blends in the crowd, and she always feels invisible!. There is a guy she kind of likes, who she later find out smokes marijuana!. Her high School is always being searched for guns, knifes, and drugs!.

(not such a great overall plot, but that was just me brainstorming)

So yeah!.
Any comments or constructive critism appreciated!

I think its a really good idea, but it might be a little "over the top!." as long as youre planning something good to happen to her it probably will be a little depressing!. Like how her dad is an alcoholic and how the guy she likes smokes, things like that =]

anyways, you could introduce like a new character who is new to her school and he ends up feeling invisible and they meet and end up liking each other, or something in that direction!. just so something good happens to her!

Being a brainstorm, of course, it could use some polishing and whatnot, but overall, it sounds like one of those 'knife point' stories!. It'll either be stereotypical or it'll be one of those incredible stories that everyone who reads it can relate with in at least some ways!. I think you should go for it and see how it turns out!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Interesting, edgy, but not really different!. I've read about ten books like that!. No offense!.
My favorite of the genre was "Define Normal!." It was amazing with a great twist at the end!.

If I were you, I'd give her something to live for!. A book like what you said could be depressing to read, not to mention write!. The best authors use contrast for their books!. Light can make the darkness appear darker!.

I like what you have so far!. I think that this "freak" shouldn't blend in with the crowd; as you said!. She should be like teased for her clothes and awkward personality!.
