In the long run it is easier just to buy quality books that are made with acid free paper!. Most hardbacks or even trade paperbacks will outlive you, regular paperbacks won't!.

If you already have them, all you have to do to keep them from yellowing is store them in airtight, airless containers!. Professional preservationists use various inert gases to do this with historical documents!. Your best chance is to either get some tupperware or stop by the local comic book store and buy some of their special plastic bags, since some plastics decay faster than others, the comic book guy will know what you want!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have input much consideration and speculation into this matter, and i trust the best solution would be to paint the pages with white once they have reached a clear visible yellow color, this task can be tedious as it presumably acquire you to paint presisely around the text!. Alternatively i do also suspect that using the eraser on them may produce a similar result no!?

Certain papers are not acid free, and they can turn yellow!. The way you can prevent that is by not having them exposed to sunlight and bright light often or very long!. But most books now are acid free and tend to not turn yellow!.

Exposure to light and air, will turn certain papers yellow in time - depends on how much they are exposed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
