Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
hells yes! i found the way Golden retells Sayuri's memoirs to be stunning!. I couldn't put it down!. I have read it 5 times, love it!Www@QuestionHome@Com

i hate admit i thought it was semi-factual when i first read it!
it was really good, my mum and i loved it when we read it 3 or so years ago!. i love a book where you can love and hate characters who have a full rounded character!. i would not say the best book ever though, time will tell how it is received in the years to come
it got me reading other japanese based books- the otori saga is another favourite! Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sure!. Bukowski, Proust, Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy, Twain, Faulkner, all hacks compared to the genius that is Arthur Golden!.

I can't communicate my contempt for you in a way that would do it justice, so I'll leave it to your imagination!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is DEFINITELY up there! The book is beautifully written and the character development is impeccable!. If a person didn't know better, they would think it really was a true story based on an interview!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
