Question: Is there any hope to become an author!?
I'm twenty-one years old!. I have very little college experience and have written two books!. ONe is a young adult fantasy, well written, at about 70,000 words and the other is a romance at about 45,000!. I have no connections, and have been querying agents for the past several months for both books, individually!. My question is, is there any hope for me, a slightly neurotic, supposedly talented, unconnected sort of gal to get picked up by and agent and get published!? I really wouldn't mind being a starving artist for the rest of my life, but I do have to figure in a livelihood!. I was just wondering if there was a chance, what with the limited opportunities for a newcomer in the field!. also, is there any money in e-publishing!? Do you know of any secure, reliable e-publishers!? Is it a bad idea!? Is there any hope in getting published in general, because my hope is fleeting!.

I haven't tried publishing anything, since I haven't finished anything yet, but I have to tell you the most important thing, is that you don't give up!.
If you think your romance is Harlequin material, you might have a good chance of getting published with them!. I read that they are looking for new stories to publish right now, and I don't believe you need an agent!. Check out their site at eharlequin!.com!.

First of all!.!.!.this can't be all you do right now!. You need to make a living and write when you can!. Send a copy of your books to every publishing house you can!. Writing takes time!.!.!.being well paid for writing takes even longer!. Write like you don't need the money!. Work like you make money writing!.
