Question: A walk to remember, the notebook and other nicholas sparks!?

hey so ive seen both the notebook and a walk to remember and they are both amazing movies!. I know that other books that are also by nicholas sparks are being made into movies too:
True Believer and At first sight!.
Can someone who has read these 2 books explain what they are about !? Thanks :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

A walk to remember is one of the best books i have ever read!. It is way different from the movie!. It starts with an old man going back to a town and reflecting!. The story takes place in the forties I think!. The plot is kinda different!. There is a dance coming up and Landon has to have a date!. He goes through the whole yearbook, but everyone else has other obligations!. so he HAS to ask Jamie!.

She agrees under the condition that Landon be in her father's chrsitmas play!. In the book it is her father, the preacher, who wrote the play and it is put on every year at christmas time!. Jamie is the angel!. Landon sees her in the play and realizes she's actually kinda pretty!.

They end up spending time together when he drives her to help her pick up money for the orphanage etc!. (not tutoring like in the movie)

The rest is kind of similar with the movie as far as she gets leukemia gets really sick, etc!. There is no "to do" list like "be in two places at once" rather he ask her what she wants in her future and she says something like, just for my father to walk me down the isle and get married!.

When she's dying it finally occurs to him, he runs with all his might to ask permission to marry her!. They get engaged, and then get married!.

As far as the notebook goes, I've started it but haven't finished it!. I think it follows the same story and is set in the same time as the movie!. However Allie has blonde, not red hair!. Her last name is nelson, not hamilton!. and i think that's about it :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
