Question: Why does Napoleon in Animal Farm want to build a windmill!?
Snowball wants to make the windmill because it shortens work hours for the other animals, makes their lives easier, etc, but what is Napoleon's reason!? Napoleon doesn't care about the good of the other animals!. What does Napoleon have to gain from the windmill!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

It will increase productivity and therefore be of financial advantage to the farm, and it will make his own life more comfortable!. Actually, his and Snowball's reasons for wanting the windmill probably overlap quite a bit, but Napoleon doesn't want the windmill built until he can take credit for it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Napoleon represents Stalin, (the whole book is the author making fun of communism and also trying to warn people of what happens in a communist society), so Napoleon is trying to do the same thing Stalin did, industrialize!. He wanted to prove that Animal Farm (Soviet Union) was as good as the other farms (countries)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
