Question: Do guys ever fall in love with fictional characters!?
Girls do!. Take Edward Cullen!. That's a boy almost everyone (I'm not saying you, random twilight haters, I'm talking about the general public)
falls for in Twilight!. What I'm asking is, is it realistic for a guy to have that same sort of attraction for a girl character in a book!? If you are a guy or know a guy who has had that sort of thing happen, please tell me about it!. I dont really understand the male "species" much, that's why I'm asking!. Thanks!. I'm a military fiction author and really like the wife of my book counterpart!. She's the perfect spouse for a Navy submariner and compliments his personality perfectly!. It's hard for me not to be attracted to this character with her weapons skills, command ability, and interests that go along with my own!.

I don't fall in LOVE with fictional characters, that just takes it too far!. Yeah, I can't stand Twilight, so I hate Edward of course, but I definitely think it's unrealistic to fall in love with a fictional character!. Crushes or admiration is okay, but love!? Thats a little crazy!. Some of my fictional ''crushes" include Mr!. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice, Kartik from A Great and Terrible Beauty, and Jacob Black from Twilight- I'm not in love with them though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hey! It's me, your local Random Twilight Hater, and I am here to declare at Book Character Crushes Anonymous that I've been book-character crush-free for years now!. Edward, sadly, did not make even a dent in my outer shell!. Not even trying to melt it with his steamy topaz eyes!.

Now, onto my answer!. I have never known a guy who's had a crush on a book character unless its been turned into a movie!. I think guys need to see the actual woman, while us girls can fall in 'love' with merely a description!.!.!.take Eddie's smooth alabaster skin, face that would launch a thousand ships or sink a thousand suns or whatever!.!.!.it's all in the description!. trust me!. Girls can and will fall in love so easily because it is the concept, not the guy, you fall for!.

Dudes on the other hand, they can control their book crushes!. I don't know exactly why, but it's something along the lines I spoke about before-they need to see it to believe it, my friend!.

Cheers!

That's an interesting question!. Though to be honest with you, I don't think most males would be willing to admit "falling in love" with a book's character!. First, it's not "manly" if you know what I mean!. Second, they are more visual!. A male is more likely to get obsessed with a celebrity, i!.e!. the recent case involving Uma Thurman and a stalker!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am a girl and I do not fall in love with fictional characters!. I read Twilight and I am not in love with Edward Cullen!. I think many girls are "infatuated" with the "idea" of Edward Cullen!. When you experience love, it will be nothing like what you read in Twilight!. Be prepared!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think even if guys do, they wouldn't admit it!. i am in love with edward cullen, jacob black, Caleb from WITCH, Jack from Blue Bloods, Sileph and Finn from Enna Burning, Michael moscovitz from the princess diaries!.!.!.!.the list goes on and on!. and i dont care if thats putting it a bit strongly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes!. I fell in love with Drenka Balich from Sabbath's Theater!. I wish I had a European mistress with such an open approach to the complications that always lie within any relationship!. Never read the Twilight books but apparently, from reading this posting area, I am alone in that!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
