Question: Looking for a fiction book concerning a show dog!.!.!.!?
I read this book several years ago and absolutely loved it!. However I've forgotten the name! It was about a dog (I'm thinking something like a collie!?) whose owners began entering him into dog shows throughout his life!. It is pretty much the biography of this dog!. In the end, the dog runs a burglar out of the house!. I also remember that the cover of the book was very old style (it was in a library)!. Albert Payson Terhune wrote a number of books about owning and showing his collies!. The most famous is probably Lad: A Dog!. Lad was always saving the day, great dog!

Don't judge by the covers shown, these books have a bunch of editions!. The reviews should help you know if they're the right books though!.

I hope these are the books you're looking for!. You would not believe how often I have read them, over and over when I was a kid!. I found one used a few years ago and I was so happy!. I have to get more of them!.
