Question: How old does a book have to be to gain value!?
I have a 100 year old book!. It was written in 1908!. It's called Lady of the Mount!.

I'm trying to get things together to sell and was wondering:

1!. Would it be worth anything!? It's in really good condition

2!. Where would someone go to sell a book like this!?

Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Just because it's old doesn't mean it's valuable!. Some modern books such as early Stephen King hardcovers may be very valuable while a book from 1850 might be worth much less or nothing!. One way to get a feel for a book's value is to use one of the used book or antiquarian book sites such as

www!.abebooks!.com
www!.alibris!.com
www!.bibliofind!.com

Put in your title and information about the book and see what others are offering!. Include publisher if you have it!.

With no other information except the title, I see copies of a book by Isham for sale for as little as $2!.

If you find yours might be more valuable, I'd contact some of the book dealers listed to see if they would buy or put it up on ebay!. A dealer won't give you the same price you see them offering a book for-- they have to make a profit as well-- but it might be a quicker sale!.

www!.powellbooks!.com will buy some collectible books; you can contact them through their website!. They are a reputable dealer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It could be valuable, especially if its a first edition, limited edition or a special edition!. You really need to go to a book store that deals in antique books and have them give you an estimate as to its value!. You could have a treasure or it could be worth $9!.95!Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is probably worth a good amount of money!. I suggest trying to sell it on ebay or amazon or another website like that!. Book collectors or other people would be very interested to have a book that old!.

Good Luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
