Question: For those who read "A thousand splendid suns"!?

this isnt for school!. im in a womens book club and i just decided to go this weekend but I dont have the book yet!. its over 600 pages long and i could read it in a week but not 2 days!. although i will try to get as far as i can!.

it is an absolutely fantastic book!

it is based around the life of two women, Mariam, a bastard who is looked down upon by most of society because of this and Laila, a beautiful girl in a middle class family!. they both marry the same man and form an unlikely friendship which is the only thing that really keeps them going with the war, and an extremely abusive husband!. in the end Laila gets a somewhat happy ending, but Mariam, who has known nothing but hardship her whole life, is sentenced to death!. it is set in afganhistan!.

this is a really strong, moving and emotional story!. i cried so much in it!.
