I haven't read this for a while, but I'll try to help!.!.;

Above all the rescuers restore natural order to the island!.

The rescue marks a return to civilisation for all the boys, for Ralph and Piggy who tried to remain civilised (the conch and the keeping alight of the fire were both attempts on their behalf to achieve this) and to the hunters who regressed to a pagan state and who had rejected the civil law and order which the conch represented and the maintaining of the fire which was their only chance of rescue!.

I can't recall the actual passage that sees the rescue although someone does run and hug one of the sailors!. no!?

At a guess I would say that it surely revitalises Piggy and Ralph both physically and spiritually!. They wouldn't have lasted out much longer had the rescuers not arrived!.!.!.

I hope that's of some help!Www@QuestionHome@Com
