Hey, I've been reading fantasy books for years and I have some really great books to recommend you!. I wouldn't really recommend the Twilight series to a guy!. The first book is pretty good, but they other two are really slow!. also there is way too much romance in there for my taste!. Actually romance is 80 % of what the book is with nothing more than kissing!. It's kind of a tease!. And eragon isn't bad, but it is pretty bland!. No humor!. Nothing very origional!.

Ok so first I would recommend The Myth Series by Robert Asprin!. The first book is Another Fine Myth!. Such a great series!. There are no boring parts and lots of humor!. You will find yourself laughing out loud!. The plots are also very origional!. It's about a boy name Skeeve and I think he is around your age!. He is an apprentice to a magician!. In the book you can travel to different dimensions!. The other dimensions are whole different worlds!. In one dimension it is always twilight and everyone there has red eyes and they only severve blood at the bars!. Soon the Skeeve realizes that everyone there is a vampire, but too late!.!.!. Just an example!. There are a lot of fun dimensions that he visits!.

Second I would recommend the Incarnation Series and the Xanth series by Peirs Anthony!. He's a great fantasy writer with some really origional books!. You will not be disappointed!. The Xanth series is about a magical land right off of the one of the continents, but there is a magical border they control to keep anything from getting in or out!. Everyone in Xanth is born with one magical talent!. At the beginning of the novel Bink is facing imminent exile from the magical land of Xanth and separation from his fiancee Sabrina for his lack of a magic talent!. At this time all human residents of Xanth possess some unique form of magic that ranges from incredibly powerful (such as the current King Aeolus's ability to summon and control storms) to relatively useless (such as the ability to make a spot appear on a wall)!.

And last the Dragons of Autum Twilight by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman!. That's a really good one too!. A lot of action!.

Well good luck and please let me know if you read any of those books :)

If you like fiction, deeper meanings!.!.!.!.action!.!.!.

Read The Shadow of the Wind!. One of my favoriteee books!. It's like!.!.!.a more adult Harry Potter!.!.!.

It's an amazing read!. Its about this young guy in post-war Barcelona, who becomes obsessed with this book he reads, and it's a big mystery type thing, which reveals like the life of the author of the book and it's !.!.!. really good!. It's realistic fiction, but reads like a fantasy!.

The author was genius!. It had some of the most amazing, unforgettable plot twists and characters!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I recommend the "Monk" series!. The books are about a detective with an obsessive compulsive disorder, who makes little everyday things complicated, but is the best at solving homicide cases!. The thing that I like about the books is that its not totally serious, because they also have some funny parts!. You can also atch the TV series ,too, on USA!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If your ready to take your reading to the next level, and you still want some sort of speculative fiction, then I suggest you read The Road by Cormac McCarthy!.

It's a very disturbing novel about a post-apocalyptic world!. It inspires really deep thought into the nature of mankind and makes you wonder just what we're really made of!.

And the writing is crisp, sharp, and enthralling!. Oh, and did I mention it won a Pulitzer!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
