Chill!. You have 10 hours!. We have forever, collectively!.

Do you have the book!? If not, can you get it!? If you have it, set it aside for a minute and check the net!.

google: "no more dead dogs"

There's a ton of stuff there, probably much of it with details like your teacher wants!. Take 15 minutes to an hour to cruise the first page or two of sites or hits on the list!.

Now - pick up the book!. Does it have a blurb on the back or inside the front cover, if it's a paperback, or a hardback wth a cover!? Read those,if you have them!. Check inside the front!. on the back of the title page, you should find when it was published, and maybe a list of other books by the same author, or on the page before or after that!. See if there is a list of Parts or Chapters or Illustrations!. Check titles for them!. These probably make a rough outline of the book, if there are titles!. Read any Prolog or Prelude or Introduction before the main story starts!. Take a breather for a few minutes (not an hour) after that!.

Check if there's anything in the back at the end of the story!. An Epilog is a "story after the story" that ties up loose ends!. You may find that, or a list of characters, pages on other books by this author or others, or a page on the author!. Maybe all you see is the end of the book!. Now go back and look at what you got off the net!.

At this point, you know quite a bit of the story!. If time is really short, read the beginning of the book, then the end!. If you're really lucky, it will turn out to be a great story and easy to read, or just one you now feel confident you understand, even if not in every detail!.

And DO get some sleep!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
